I redid my laptop Sat. I got around to starting out fresh with it, reformatted the drive, loaded in my drivers and renamed it to what I wanted it to be. I had help from a buddy at work. I went over to his place and with his high speed ethernet connection I was able to d/load all the updates that I needed after I got it going again with a new drive.
I decided to stay with XP home from the recovery discs and got SP2 loaded in too before I added any programs and stuff and it's working fine just like it was when I got it. I'm not using the firewall feature with SP2 though since I'm using my zonealarm security suite program with this laptop.
I'm missing something though after redoing my drive. The visualize program in Acer Arcade when you're playing a cd isn't there anymore. Is it something I have to load in separately after installing all the recovery files? It would be nice to have this program there if and when I want to use it. Thanks.

I believe the Acer Arcade is a seperate program that needs to be installed. Normally it should be included with your recovery image, but it may also be on the CD itself. Try checking that to see if it's available.
