    hi
i am in need of a new lcd panel for my laptop its a acer travelmate 2420
14.1 anyone know where i can get one at a reasonable price the laptop has been great for the time i have had it and it would be a shame to just dump it if it can be fixed reasonably as i am short of funds
it still works fine on a external monitor but thats not rearly the idea of a laptop
    any help appreciated
i am in the uk so local would be nice
dont mind if its used as long as its good looked on ebays and only new on there would be about £90 with postage a bit expensive for me as i am retired and on fixed income
    any way please help
    many thanks

You can try Ebay. I found one here for example.

before you buy the lcd, look closely at it while its on.. if u can see the background a little but its almost black its more likely you need an inverter board which would be cheaper to replace
