This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Just poking around and updated the Realtek Audio driver for my 8204 from the Realtek site. Thought some of you might want to know, especially those doing full XP re-installs.

    New version is 5242 (some windows versions compatibility fixes).

    Also, here are some eq settings I find sounds much better while playing through a player (winamp) and the built in Realtek eq manager.

    new update on realtek site a few days ago (wdm_R138).......I will try and see what's new
