Hi,
I bought the Aspire 5102 last year in Canada and now I am back in Germany and since we have all those funny characters öüäß I want to buy a new keyboard. I know I can change it to the German settings but it is still kind of confusing if I have to press [ to get the ö etc. And I don't really want to buy those stickers...
My question is are the Aspire keyboards all identical in construction or at least the newer ones?
I found those two on eBay and I am wondering if they fit? They look exactly the same:

You should email the seller and ask. Also try this: http://cgi.ebay.de/New-Acer-Aspire-3690-5100-5110-Keyboard-KBASP07002_W0QQitemZ200109091028QQihZ010QQcategoryZ31568QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem
I'm not sure but you might also need a German BIOS version to support the keyboard. Not really sure about that but its something to look into. -
Thanks for the link, vestige. Maybe I should have explicitely mentioned that I am looking for a German keyboard. That one is exactly the same one I have - the English one. Thanks though...
