hi, I own a 8230 and will not play a dvd or bluray with Acer Arcade Deluxe...it did in the past.

When I try it seems to open up a screen and says " this program cannot display the webpage" weird. Won't play any AVI files in my hard drive also.

all other programs with this sof ware seem to work ok.

It does ask to download an update V2.1.0 6010...but it fails....

It's defeantly a software-problem. Acer Arcade deluxe isn't a good program. I suggest you download VLC-player. It's a very good media-program and it's compatible with almost all kind of video and sound files!

You can download it from here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

That's right. Unfortunately, there are not many free Bluray-players out there. I would buy WinDVD or PowerDVD.
