    Hello

I've no idea where to start with this - I have a wired LAN and have tried running the Acer updater software, but returns 0 results. Device manager doesn't recognise any wireless lan card at all.
    any thoughts please?

EDIT: win7 is also incorrectly detecting a network controller (under other devices in device manager), which is malfunctioning. So if anyone can advise on this, I guess the question is how can I get it to recognise the device correctly?

EDIT#2: now solved - windows update was not on.

    thanks very much.
