I want your advise on which card to choose for my acer aspire 5920g laptop.
I found
1. nvidia 9300mgs 256MB MXMII which will need bios to be flashed/ updated.
For this card i was advised to use a bios file named 5920G_MXM_V3.WPH
Not sure though if V3 means MXM III card and i use a MXM II
2. ati HD3650 DDR3 VG.86M06.002 for other acer model
and ati HD4650 ddr3 1GB
I have no idea if these cards work, which one is best, which one will last better
and wont need to bake it one day....
Not sure if the 1GB ram card will heat-up faster. but i heard the 9300mgs does not
cause problems to 5920 ?
what would you advise please?

If you just want to have picture on the display the 9300m would be the better choice. This is of course if it's cheaper. The 3650 should work no problems. The 4650, unless someone has modified it, wont work straight away and is the hottest of the three.

...
and is the hottest of the three.
....
hottest in terms of pricing ;-)
Why the 3650 is the best of all ? does not get hot easily ?
Does it need any new bios or better what is the bios version it supports ? -
Runs cool, doesn't need BIOS mod and was cheap, don't know how it is now.

hm... i see. i will then try to go for the 3650 if it is cooler. it should be around $50 approx used i think.
if i am lucky i might find the 9300m, otherwise 9300m gs. Assuming the 1GB 4650 is hot... then it will possibly bring problems early, as the cooling in the acer is not that good with the card placed chip side
down.
i will also order these bluish thermal pads-sticky pieces and see if i can cover some chips on the card i will bid for.
nvidia 9300mgs 256MB vs ati HD36-4650 ddr3 1GB for 5920g
