    hey fellas,
    ok so ive got some new 2x1gb 6400 modules cas6. it doesnt like them garbled bios screen and then blue screen.

    so I thought well Ill see if I can put one stick in with my 5300 512mb module then it will run at those timings and speed. It worked detected and no errors.

    do you think it would be safe to run spdtool to flash my dimms to that speed. Im really more interested in getting them to run rather than speed.

    board is rated at a max of 533mhz anyway but will be doing some overclocking down the track.

    looks like the hynix modules I have are spd locked... is there a way to change bios settings to make this ram work...
