were you able to adjust your ram to stock specs?

    no i dont no how.

with your RAM now set to stock settings are you able to boot 266mhz without bsel mod?

i am not going to make the mod now because i cannot disassemble my laptop except night time.....
but ive tried to boot my laptop at stock ram setting and it doesnt work.....
i think i have to lower my RAM frequency.....

my laptop able to boot at Cas 8 right????
when i overclock my ram, it shows:
    DRAM Frequency 500.0MHz
    CAS# Latency (CL) 8
    RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) 8
    RAS# Precharge (tRP) 8
    Cycle Time (tRAS) 23
    A.K.A 8-8-8-23

    am i right??
    -------------------------
ive added 0.2V to my cpu but it still wont boot....
the cpu heat up very fast when i added extra voltage.....
the BSEL mod works on intel CPU one boot only, when i boot my laptop the second time i does not work again......
i confirm that my CPU is @ 2.79GHz by using CPUZ on the first time i make the BSEL mod....

so, i think that the RAM is the main problem......
does the power supply could be the problem too??
im using 65Watt(19V 3.42A) power adapter right now....

i have no idea what your laptop should boot at...
    .........

maybe the settings reset after you go to boot the 2nd time? i dont really know...

i do know 1000mhz is very close to the max any laptop DDR2 will run maybe this is your issue?

i dont think the power supply is the issue. if it was this would probably be more of a random restarting issue not just flat out not booting.

    hmm....
i dont know how to downclock the ram without changing the the timings.....
then i downclocked my ram to 500MHz, the timings automatically changed to 5-4-4-12.....
i have correction about my ram timings.... the actual ram timing is 5-8-8-23
i cannot change tha CAS Latency.... the Cas Latency is stucked at 5 only....

i wonder if i can overclock my laptop to 2.79GHz the 3DMark06 score will be above 3000 3DMarks :)

i will be very happy if i can overclock my laptop processor.....

    1 samsung 512MB 667MHz
    1 Hynix 512MB 667MHz
    2 samsung 2GB 667MHz

i have tested all of the ram but still not work.......
i wonder why is this happening........

Now you have RAM that can handle a higher overclock such as doing a Can apply 200->266Mhz FSLx pinmod AND/or apply VSS+VID3 or VSS+VID4 for more cpu voltage for stability. That would get your T6500-2.1 to 2.8Ghz.

Confirm that when you reboot that your chipset defaults to the slower 6-6-6-18 timings. The chipset chooses the lowest common timings available.

    sorry....

okay..... i have rebooted my laptop and the lowest timings are 333MHz 6-5-5-15

6-5-5-15 will probably be OK. The most important timing is CAS, which you have set to 6. That is the same as what 400Mhz RAM timing uses. So could now try doing a 200->266Mhz FSLx PLL pinmod by isolating PLL pin 2 and running a GND signal to it via a 10k resistor as described at http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...-m11x-r1-slg-hardmod-only-11.html#post7059466 .

If this is unstable then would need a CPU overvolt such as Vss+VID4 shown here OR do a flat 5-10% voltage increase by modding the volt regulator circuit described here.

flashed my ram to 400MHz 6-6-6-18
cutted pin 2 on my slg8sp556v clock generator
pin modded my cpu socket (connected vss+vid4)
but when i turn on my laptop it is blank.........

Cutting the pin is insufficient. You must run it via a 10k resistor to a GND point.

you mean that cutting the does not work??
i read alienware m11x slg pinmod....... it says cutting the pin works too.....

from my understanding, cutting the pin disconnect the supply voltage that flows to the pin same as using the resistor.....

You'll have to check the m11xR1 thread to confirm if a cut pin is sufficient.

What RAM timings does your system bootup with now? What's the RAM ratio in hwinfo32? Your system has a PM45 chipset so if it sees a 400Mhz SPDTable entries it will boot using a 1:2 RAM ratio (200:400).

If one RAM module's highest SPDtable entry is 333Mhz, then then the system will boot using a slower 3:5 (slower) RAM ratio (200:333). You want the slower ratio as your system will probably not boot as your 200->266Mhz PLL pinmod is showing. At 1:2 RAM ratio, you'd be running your RAM at 533Mhz (!!)

You want the chipset to boot a 3:5 RAM ratio and use a 333Mhz SPDtable entry with CAS=6.

you mean that my ram will boot at 1064MHz??
    my ratio is 1:2 (200:400)
if i overclock, my ratio is (266:532)
    am i right??

    my laptop has GM45 chipset

Yes.. you need use one PC2-5300 (DDR2-667) RAM module. Their highest SPDTAble entry is 333Mhz 5-5-5-18. Though you also want to change CAS to 6. Upon detecting DDR2-667 RAM, that the system will run a slower 3:5 ratio (200:333). Then when you do your PLL pinmod the system will actually be running 266:444.

GM45=PM45+4500MHD. So if it's switchable then it's GM45. If not, then it's PM45. You definitely want 3:5 RAM RATIO as 4500MHD graphics will glitch/freeze/fail with 1:2.

    hi nando.....
do i need to downclock my ram?? or set it to stock....
what clockspeed would you recommend me to use??
    is 285MHz okay??

is 1:1 good for me??? or 2:3???

Reboot system, confirm it's now using 200:333 CAS=6 RAM ratio using CPU-Z, AIDA or hwinfo32. If yes, then if Vss+VID4 CPU voltmod done, then do 200->266Mhz FSLx PLL pinmod.

disassembled my laptop and connect VID4+Vss
my ram is at Cas6 333MHz
    ratio 2:3
    cutted pin 2
and when i turn on my laptop, nothing happend...... just a blank screen.......
    :(

what is happening to my laptop......
i have to do BSEL mod in order to boot at 266x6 (1.6GHz)

If you've done the cpu voltmod, slowed RAM timings down and the FSLx PLL pinmod then it will either boot or it won't. Not much more that can be discussed really. Pretty much up to you to ensure those three aspects have been correctly implemented. Good luck.
