I've just ordered this laptop but now panicking!
    http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/pr...pc_google_long_tail_laptops_acer_5920g_laptop

I've heard it might not sufficient power to display 1080p resolution? Worse still it might not have a HDMI port?!

Surely any laptop with a blu ray drive will have a HDMI port?! From my pre-purchase research, I also thought all 5920Gs had a HDMI port. I can't find confirmation anywhere and note that having the ATI Radeon HD 3470 card is quite rare. Is this quite an old spec 5920G then?

The only one which is on sale outside of PC World, Currys etc is Pixmania
    http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/1514...-6a3g16mi.html

This suggests it does have an HDMI port.

Can anyone confirm? I'm pretty anxious about my purchase now, particularly as online and not as easy as returning something to a shop. Any views thoroughly welcome.

    Many thanks in advance.

thanks bigozone. i really can't understand why it wouldn't have one give the blu ray drive and the fact that other specifications of the 5920G have it.

i also don't understand why the ATI Radeon 3470 HD spec is so apparently rare.

if anyone can confirm for certain about HDMI that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks fdiskmbr.

I just don't understand why the one I've ordered from PC World comes with a ATI Radeon 3470 HD card and not NVDIA one? It seems that everywhere else sells it with a NVDIA card and clearly state it has a HDMI port.

It's made me very worried that I've ordered an older version despite the spec being good (4MB ram, blu ray).

It's all very confusing, although I admit that I am not very clued up on such matters.
