    Hello
I have a laptop, Acer travelmate 2350. And i have two problems.

When I start the computer, lately, it's freezing in the white screen, where it says ACER, press F2 for setup...... something like that.. I have no idea how to call it, so i call it start up...i have to unplug the laptop, from the AC, if not it stays frozen... i tried to leave it for a few hours, and nothing.....
If somebody knows anything like that, or how to fix it... it would save my laptop.. I say that because i am about to throw it out of the window....)....

My other trouble is, that I can't get rid of the orange light , i think it's the wireless Lan... even if i don't use it, i have no idea how it got orange, normally theorange light wasnot there, i mean, it was off... I read on the net that i have to use the Epower Management, but it's not installed in my computer and i don't know if i can download, because i have no cds of that that came with the laptop.... Maybe i can disconnect it in another way....but i have no clue...

Hope someone ca help me and thank you for reading me.....

Sounds like a harddrive related problem or maybe a BIOS problem. In both cases you probably have to take it to service. If you can acces the BIOS (press F2- in that white screen) and everything works fine there, then my best guess is that your harddrive is broken.

I think the orange light should be there when Wlan radio is enabled. When disabled it should go off. Or atleast it works that way with my Acer.

My hard drive is working properly, i can use it, store stuf.... if it's that what you mean.....

I cannot do anything with the white screen, even if i press F2, and i tried to press everything, believe me....

The only way i can use the laptop,is if i switch it off in STAND BY, and not turn off the laptop completely, in switch off mode, there is no problem at all...

For the wlan radio that you said, i never used it, and i have no idea where to look for it in the computer.

Thanks very much for your help......hopefully somebody will tell me how to do miracles, hahaha. Thanks again
