Greetings! :) Welcome to the forums!

Considering that you have a Pentium 4, the notebook is going to run hot...could you elaborate a bit on "can't continue working"?

Thank you for the reply :)
Well maybe im overreacting a bit..
But the truth is that sometime the noise is very annoying..So i must turn it off :noisyfan: This what i mean by "can't continue working"

I discovered a program, speedfan(or something like that)and i m able to set the fans speed..And it works! But i must check the cpu temp all the time..which is highest temp that my cpu will be safe and not fried???

    Pls forgive my bad english...

    The cpu is a intelP4 HT 3.06

    Thanks

Hey - your English is just fine. ;) Not a problem.

Yes - that P4 runs mighty hot.

You see, if you turn off the fans, your notebook will overheat. Also, if you put them on a lower setting, that could also cause it to heat up - heat has always been an issue with Pentium 4 notebooks unfortunately.

Go to Acer's website, and see if there is a BIOS update for your notebook - sometimes, BIOS updates help with power control.

    Chaz

Oh - have you considered puchasing a cooling pad? They don't cost that much. I recommend one made by Vantec - aluminum.
