    Welcome to NBR.

A BIOS password can be disbaled by removing the CMOS battery. That means that you will have to remove a panel on the underside of the notebook. Have a look at the manual for the notebook online, as that may give instructions on how to change or get access to the battery. From there, you should be able to change the boot menu and format the computer. Hope this helps.

Unless you kknow the password, then it practically impossible. It isn't a difficult procedure to accomplish. When you remove the panel, the battery will make itself more than obvious, because normally they are positionekd in places where it is easily accessible. From there, you can easily remove it.

I can try to assist, but it may be difficult as I can't see the notebook. I can't seem to find any guides that detail the removal of the battery. Look at the underside of the notebook, and there should be a panel. If the battery isn't under that panel, then the whole underside may need o be removed, and that is a long and lengthy task, one which is made much harder without guides.

A CMOS battery will always look like the first battery.

Some may have protective coverings like the other pic:

It looks alot like your back-up battery in a TI calculator :)
