    hello ,today i bought a new laptop, an acer timelinx 5820 ( i5 460M , radeon 6550)
i have this problem where the mouse temporarily freezes (for about 1 sec) after i press on a key on this keyboard
if i hold the key the mouse will freeze and i cannot move it untill 1 second after i release the button.

this is really annoying , anyone have any idea about how to fix this ?

i installed the latest drivers for synaptics touchpad , the performance is better but the problem is still there.
if i click a keyboard button it the mouse will freeze but for less time and if i hold the keyboard button i can move the mouse for about 2 seconds then it freezes untill i release the button

Check the touchpad/mouse settings. Isn't there an option to disable touchpad when you type? Something like "Disable touchpad while typing". Also check in Ease Of Access settings. Should all be in Control Panel.

There's a setting called PalmCheck in Synaptics driver- drag the slider all the way to the left (to "minimal") and verify if the issue persists.
