Hi guys
I have this question, if you have detachable video card, and once you unhook( uninstall it physically) would you still be able to see the Video on external display?

No. Detachable means MXM I guess ?
A notebook with a discrete GPU, will have a PM945/PM965/PM45 chipset, which do not have an integrated GPU, so when the discrete GPU is removed, there is no graphics interface to provide .. uhm Light/Image or whatever on the LCD (external/internal)..
An external LCD won't have a built-in GPU.... -

Inspiron 5150 ?
I think it has the 852PM chipset, and no integrated graphics, only AGP.
So you might need that AGP Card - Geforce FX Go 5200 probably.
