    resetting the cmos battery on a 69xx series?

    i've currently got the back off my laptop and can't realy see the CMOS battery or anything to reset it such as jumpers, the closest I can see is a yellow thing under some casing I cant get to, can anyone supply me with some information with how to reset it on this chassis? i'm not going to have to take the front (keyboard etc) off am I? :|

    Why the need to reset the CMOS?
    You could try to locate the service guide for the machine, but you won't be finding that on this forum - NBR rules.

    Can't boot / doesnt splash screen or post check, been suggested it in a few different places and it cant make it worse than it is ; \

    I'd put down the screwdriver and pick up the phone to call Acer Support instead.
    Might be hardware repair time.

    For my 6930 you have to remove the main battery and primary hard drive, there are 2 contacts under the hard drive marked G1 & G2, short these with an electrically conductive tool, plug in the power adapter while keeping the points shorted and press the power button, allow the system bios to post then shut it back down and restart - thats the procedure for mine, seems like you need 3 hards to pull it off...

    But as TehSuigi says it dosn't seem like a Bios/Cmos issue...

    Well this is the last thing I want to attempt before going for the warranty : \

    Also looking at the underside of where the HDD is held in the 6935, it doesnt seem like the same situation :\
