I have an Aspire 2025. My rubber feet on the bottom of my notebook have begun to come off. Think it's due to the tight squeeze in my laptop carrying case. Pulling it in and out pulls on them pretty hard. Anyone know of a good way to put them back on where they'll stay? Wanted to ask before i started trying things. Scared of damaging with different adhesives. Thought it may void my warranty. Would appreciate any good suggestions. Thanks

Just buy some rubber cement and use that. You might have to reapply it every once in a while, but I can tell you that will not damage anything - and it is probably what they used in the first place. Unless you want some more permanent fixture...then super glue would work...

Frustrating flaw it is. I'm so sick of having to fish around in the bottom of my notebook carrying case to find those little things. Thanks jizz, i'll give it a shot.

You can get rubber cement from any hardware store. The only issue I'm seeing is that your bag is causing the problem. If it's a tight fit, it's probably gonna tear off the rubber feet again anyways. I'd recommend getting a new bag so the notebook sits in it a bit better (no top-loading bags).

Well, this seems to be a common thing with top loading bags. I have a top loading bag as well. My company required that we pull the notebook out to verify serial number when entering/exiting the facility (security reasons) and the rubber fell popped off in the process. I switched to a standard notebook bag (non-top loading) and the problem was resolved. As Molar described, he said "Think it's due to the tight squeeze im my laptop carrying case. Pulling it in and out pulls on them pretty hard.", this is similar to how your rubber feet came off (push across a surface). Therefore, in Molar's case, a tight case = bad. [ :D]

    hi,
my rubber feet on my Acer Travelmate 371Tci have fallen off too, however, i've lost mine!
does anyone have any recommendations on what i can use to replace the rubber feet?
i was thinking of putting some silicone sealant (used to seal gaps around glass). does anyone else have any other suggetions?

p/s went to acer to ask them to replace the grips but they says they wont repalce it due to it being a normal "wear and tear" problem.

    Kloo,

Goto your local hardware store and buy some clear rubber feet/pads or whatever you call them. It's used on glass tops when placing on top of wood, keeps the glass from sliding around and scrtaching the wood. It has an adhesive on the back and is domed shaped. Costs a couple bucks for a pack of 6+ pads.

Here's a picture of what I'm talking about:

This site calls them rubber bumpers. I guess you can also get it from an arts and crafts store.
