If you're not into gaming and all, then get it.

I haven't heard or had any overheating issues. Since the 6930 has a Core 2 Duo, you can undervolt it to reduce temps.

    6 Hours (only? :D)

I've got an Acer too, and mine's been running for the past 4 days (overclocked).

I just bought one couples days ago. I use it for work, games, movies, and anything else. Basically, I simply keep using it everyday. So far, I don't have any problem with it. Dell, Toshiba, Sony, etc... The big brand name might gives you high quality feels. However, when you search on any brand name and you'll find they do have problems too. For the price like this you can't go wrong. But of course if you insist to get a much powerful laptop, then you got to burn more money.

Why not take the 6935G, it is on the same price range, right?

I would recommend Acer. I have The 6920G and it stays on for weeks on end (I download so I don't turn it off at night). No heating issues; the laptop runs very cool, even on carpet compared to The Sony FW140 and is cooler than most laptops I've touched, even when gaming. I use it for all-round; gaming, school work, media, etc. If you're going for purely a desktop replacement, go for the 18" version.
