I ve been using my Acer Inspire 5100 for a year now and I have never had any problems with it. But lately, when I plug adapter in, short circuit is visible and sometimes it turn off the electricity in my and others flat! So here are my questions:
    1. What may caused this situation? I always plug adapter off during the night and I ve never noticed it was overheated.
    2. Is t wise to keep using it on? Isn t it dangerous?
    3. If I ll buy new adapter, what should I do to prevent this situation.
Thanks for any suggestions and ideas!

Try the adapter on another mains plug point. Maybe the one you have been using is faulty?
