    speedstep not working on aspire 2025

    i can't find a feature on my laptop called speedstep. it's an acer aspire 2025wlmi with a pentium m processor so it should have it. does acer disable it in some way or is speedstep just a technology that works behind the scenes?

    If this feature is not an option in the BIOS, then it's most likely always on and working in the background. It depends on your Power Management settings, when set to "Notebook/Laptop", when the CPU is inactive or when on battery the CPU speed will drop to save power. It will automatically jump up the speed if/when you actually need it to run an app. Don't think there's anything to worry about.
