as soon as I plug in my 3.5 mm jack to listen music on my speakers I seem to hear some kind of strange sound..

I heard it before when I was listening with my earplugs but I didn't really pay attention to it but it's really annoying menow. first i tried an extension cable but it recieved too much noise so I took another one that didn't recieve and still I heard that noise

with the built in speakers my laptop doesn't make the sounds.. or maybe I just can't hear it..

but the sound is like the sound of my hard disk's arm that moves.. really weird

could this be a software problem or a hardware problem

it concerns an Acer aspire 4310

oke checked it out more, since I have a dual boot system I also tried with vista since I use w7 now with vista a bit less noise but it's still there.. problem though is that I moved to w7 because vista keeps giving me bsod.
