    the ferrari 5000 is hot... good and bad

    its amazingly beautiful and i really want one, but ive heard the turion x2 has heating issues. the fan placement is that of the tm8200 so it blows hot air right on your mouse hand while using an external mouse, but thats not a problem. heat of the unit in general is a problem though as i would want to use it as an actual "lap"top.

    how hot is it?

    TX2 heat is no worse than Core Duo, so it all comes down to how well they designed the cooling system on the notebook series you're looking at. The Ferrari has to cool a X1600 GPU in addition to the CPU so that's going to be a fair amount of heat, but that's the price you pay for running a top-of-the-line notebook. If I had the funds I'd buy one (except I want a 17" screen :D).
