    Hi folks.

I'm looking for a desktop replacement. Super-fast strong processor and gaming graphics are not a need; what I do want is a larger screen. The laptop in the title has a 17" screen, 1600x900. The processor is an Intel P6000, which I know nothing about.

It's available from Walmart for $500. Good deal? Is this model well-reviewed?

    Thanks!

Well, the CPU is rather weak but then again if you don't need more power it may be OK. Intel P6000 is 1.86GHz dual Core with no Hyper Threading and no TurboBoost- it's by no means fast but it should be OK for Office and browsing.
The build quality should be OK- as it usually is with new Acers and the price looks very good. No reason not to buy it if the performance is not an issue.
