I didn't made myself clear on my last post, so i'm gone try to explain my problem, and if after that, it still broke's the forum rules, i apolagize. I have a laptop that's from my company. An ex-employee had the laptop while he worked there, but when he left the company, he left the bios with a password. Now, after a year or so after he left the company, there was the need to format the laptop, so when we tried to enter the bios to choose the option "boot from the CD", we saw the password. Now, we could't contact him anymore, and after some attemps, we tried to clean the bios by removing the battery for a while, and after 15 minutes or so, we tried to boot the laptop and enter the bios, but still the password remained. So, we used a software that would clean the bios, and after i used the software, maybe i had to put another bios back on. Right after using the software, it didn't had any imediate problem, i used windows after using the software to clean the bios, but has soon has i reboot, it started to make 1 long noise and 2 short ones. So there for, i would like to know if anyone can help me on how to restore the bios. Thank you in advance with any helpfull information.

Hmm....Depending upon the BIOS utility, you'll need a BIOS restore disk, which has different names for different utilities. Only Acer can help you now, since all the restore disk stuff is not handed over to the end-user, and we can't provide you with that stuff as well (due to the forum rules). That thing will restore the BIOS, and will install the BIOS version included in that restore disk (FDD).
