    travelmate 8100 touchpad pain

    I have the acer travelmate 8104wlmi and it has been excellent with me for almost a full year. now i am experiencing a problem with the touch pad left click button that gets stuck and does not work the way it should. i tried to check at local computer places for the repair cost i got astronomical numbers. do you have any link to the service/repair manuals for that problem where i can do it my self and save me money. i am not encouraged to send it to acer for repair since i am not getting a good feed back about their service.

    I've replaced some parts on this model (actually exact same model). You'll shouldn't have any problem replacing the touchpad if you follow the manual. Maybe you don't have to replace anything at all. It might help if you just spray on some contact cleaner (for electronical equipment off course) and let it dry.
