    Hi guys,

I'm planning to replace my old computer by a travelmate 5520, turion x2 2.0, 2 gig de ram for 830 canadian bucks,

Mainly because i do not want the trouble to install xp on a vista laptop and my limit budget is 850$, but suggestions are welcome.

it will be mainly for work, (photoshop, flash, html editors) but my big problem is that i have actually a 5.1 sound system on my computer (3 wire connected to the computer), sound is kinda important to me, will it be possible to plug my 5.1 system by a usb device or something like that?

and another small question, do the x1250 handle the splitscreen? i want to connect my 19 inch lcd on it and work with my lcd laptop at 1200x800 and my 19 inch in 1280x1024 at the same time.

    Thank you
    Cedric

yes the laptop will be able to handle dual monitors (laptop screen + one monitor). Just plug it in to the side via the VGA port. Not too sure about the sound, but chances are you'll need to use HDMI, and chances are Acer doesn't offer HDMI. I suppose you could get an express card sound card. I'm no expert on sound, I'll let others fill you in.
