Okay, here's my question. I just bought an Acer Aspire 3000 Sempron 1.8Ghz 512RAM etc..
Battery life runs about 1 hour 15 minutes websurfing with backlight about half way between bright and dim (maybe five or seven clicks worth).
If I use rightmarks cpu clocking utility, how much extra battery life could I expect? Ten minutes may or may not be worth it but if someone can attest to 15 minutes extra I would definately look into it.
    Any comments are appreciated.
    Thanks.

There wont be much improvement in the battery life. Undervolting helps in reducing the heat dissipation. The laptop will usually run a few degrees cooler. Anyways for the laptop 1hr 15min is pretty good. I am averaging some where around 55 min on typical usage with the screen set to minimum.

If you want any substantial increase in battery getting the 8 cell battery is worth it. It will double your battery life to a respectable 2 - 2.5hrs.
