    upgrading drivers

    guys, i want to upgrade some drivers on my laptop, my question is - should i install drivers from nvidia site, like forceware etc.? or should i only use the drivers from acer site?

    Never owned an Acer but have upgraded drivers. I use the manufacturer's site and not just for graphics; they're more apt to be current. LOL

    nVidia's site has always worked well for me, even with Linux machines.

    Go to Laptopvideo2go.com and look for 17x.xx drivers.
    I have 5920G and you can download them without any problemo.

    got the "not compatible with my hardware" message :( dunno whats wrong, maybe i should wait for newer versions

    I'd suggest 174.31 (Acer/ASUS/Dell/Lenovo) from laptopvideo2go.com that installs WITHOUT modded inf. Works best for me and its kind of "native".

    i tried the 174.51 and 167.45 and none worked

    i searched that site for them but could not find the download link.. :eek:

    Thanks for the link, i tried and this one seemed to work fine but in Crysis (bloody game ))) it gave me some errors so i have to stick to the one from acer site for now.

    offtopic! crysis sucks, next one am buying is half life episode 1 and 2, now that should be fun!
