    Hello ,

I am having ACER POWER SD PC and recently formatted the same with Acer win xp sp3. During installation, when pc restarted, "error loading os- press ctrl alt del " msg was displayed. Then I unplugged the ps cable and then manually powered on the pc after which pc booted and installation continued. After completion of installation, pc restarted and again "error loading os- press ctrl alt del" msg came. Now I pressed ctrl alt del and pc restarted but now the msg " disk read error, press ctrl alt del" came. Then I forcefully switched off the pc and then switched on manually, after which pc booted. Then I installed ms office ,antivirus software, etc, and after restart the same error"error loading os' came and all those times, i manually switched on the pc. On one occasion, i selected "restart later option" after which I shut down the pc and then manually switched on. Thus my PC doesn't boot under restart condition but only on pressing the manual on/off button, it boots .How to resolve this issue?

Note: I changed the HDD bus bar cable, cmos battery removed & reinserted , ram(1 GB in one slot out of 2) reinserted but still same problem.

    Kindly help......
