hi. I just bought an aspire 4730 from staples yesterday. It comes with Vista Home Premium 32bit, but I'd like to install vista 64bit on it. The CPU supports it. It has a T3400
I went to acer support here ( http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/fo....com&siteid=7117&areaid=2&formid=3394#results ) and looked up drivers for the 4730Z/4730ZG but the drivers that are shown are for the aspire 4330.
And the only 64 bit drivers shown are for bluetooth (which the 4730 doesnt have), Intel graphics, and nvidia graphics (which it doesnt have).
Where can i get wifi, motherboard, touchpad drivers for this model if i decide to run vista 64 on it?
should i call acer support and ask them if vista 64 is supported?
thanks
any input is greatly appreciated.

You can search for your WiFi card drivers elsewhere than Acer. What card is it?
There arent really Motherboard Drivers.
And, you shouldnt need Touchpad Drivers. Many Drivers are in Vista. -
okay thanks. I'm not sure if its intel, broadcom, atheros, or ralink. I havent opened the computer from the box yet. I probably will later tonight when i get done with work and class.

Post back the model please. -
<s>Almost</s> ALL Vista drivers for your laptop are 32bit AND x64 compatible, check the link below:
ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_4730/vista/Drivers/
Caution: Very slow download speed expected. -
great! thanks.
the ones on the USA support site are 32bit and 64bit also.
