I bought my Acer 3820tg from Taiwan last September. and now my laptop was totally dead with no reason. After read http://forum.notebookreview.com/ace...rks-tweaks-mods-upgrades-405.html#post6635476
which Bronsky provided to me (thanks to him), I followed exactly the same steps, called Acer American and told them that I want to activate my warranty. But now they told me that since my laptop was not purchased in US, they are unable to activate the warranty, and since I'm not a traveler, the International Travelers warranty is not valid to me either. So I will have to pay for any repairs made outside Taiwan.
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

Also it might be a warn for those of you who want to purchase acer laptop outside of US and Canada, the warranty only covers these two countries, so consider about it before purchase.
