All Acer laptops (well, most anyway) have a bluetooth button on the front of the machine. however this does not mean it actually has bluetooth inside of it. Check your device manager to see if there is bluetooth device on your system, might well be the case that your laptop does not have it.

If your laptop did not come with Bluetooth then you will have to use a USB version. You can get them for less than $20.

Sometimes they are under or near the battery in the battery compartment. If not, you will have to locate a OEM Bluetooth card and take your computer apart and snap it in. I would not recommend doing this unless you have a service manual handy. Not to mention, it is very hard to find an OEM Bluetooth chip.

If I'm understanding your question right majestic, then the answer is no where. Bluetooth is a wireless transmission standard. Your computer connects to bluetooth devices wirelessly. To connect the two devices, power on the bluetooth in the device you wish to connect to, make sure the bluetooth is on in your laptop, and run the Bluetooth Wizard to have Windows search for present bluetooth devices and then follow the instructions to connect them. That's it :)

Can anyone say what graphics card this laptop has.
On the Acer website it says it has a ati x1300, but on all the websites that are selling the laptop it says it has an ati x1100.

Can anyone who owns this laptop please clarify for me.

    Hi majestic_36

Could you tell me where you got this module from? I have an Aspire 3023, which did not come with bluetooth installed, but does have space for one. I'm having real trouble trying to source the part, I can't find anyone that does it! If you could let me know where you brought your part I would be most greatful!

By the way, if you didn't find out, I believe the bluetooth connector is at the back of the laptop, someone around the power adaptor socket & the exhaust fan, although I could be wrong, I just read it in one of the threads I've been searching!

    Thanks in advance

    Ben
