I just bought a 5570 laptop and I know it has a lot of Acer and Microsoft pre-installed programs that are either trial versions or just unnecessary, but I am reluctant to delete programs I do not know what they do.

Can anyone give me a list of some of the "crap" programs that I can delete without creating problems?

I know of no set list, but anything with a trial offer, enter a product key, and limited use programs would be on the trash list for me.
Also all the instant msg and ISP offer programs.
Basically, aside from office software, CD/DVD burner software, and anything else that strikes your fancy are the only things to keep, the rest, I wouldn't think twice about trashing, but that's just me.
If you have any specific programs that you are in question about, post a list and you might get the answer you were looking for.

    Basically, everything.

Nominally the one thing I actually keep on my PC from bloatware is the DVD playing program, other than that I delete pretty much everything because it's normally garbage, or things that I have other versions of.

I guess I'll just have to list specific programs becasue I do not recognize what the Acer programs do.

    Thanks.

Your instinct is right on. Take it slow, reboot after every change. Ask questions here.
