Cause i've caught the BSOD, and was unable to proceed to the safe mode, i was told to press ALT+F10 and select factory default settings.

But may i know what will happen if i do this ? Other than losing datas...

Will i need to reload/redownload things like MSN, Microsoft office ETC

With factory restore...I don't think anything is saved. It takes you back to when you got your computer.

For sure, data on another partition are safe (D: for example), but you definately will have to reinstall ALL your programs, no exception, unless your OS was on the D: drive in question.

Prepare to update your drivers, and redownload all your favorite programs, and I pray you backed up your sensitive data.

These programs do not come installed from the factory it is usually just windows. You put them onto your notebook so if you have to do a factory system restore then yes they will all be gone and you will have to reinstall/re-download them once windows is restored. The windows recovery process will only overwrite what is on your "C" partition it will not touch anything else, so put your data on to the "D" partition or back it up on external media CD/DVDs.

To initiate windows recovery to factory state all you have to do press ALT+F10 at the POST screen(screen that says acer when you first turn on the notebook), then follow the instructions.

On a side note, most of the time on the forum someone will answer your question if they can there was no need to "bump" your thread so many times in 15mins, you need to give others time to see your post and respond to it. The forums are not live tech support.
