    Are you referring to the rubber strip that goes around the outside of the LCD screen on the laptop? If so I had this repaired by Acer under warranty, would be interested if you could get a replacement though.

    Had something similar on mine, if it's under warranty I would get them to replace them if you can do without your laptop.
