I have been using XP only. Disliked Vista and am very satisfied using XP 64-bit. I see here that the T9300 Mobile CPU works in the 5315-2513 laptop. Since I am using XP will I have to upgrade the bios and which bios version. Is installing a cpu a simple plug and play operation with the exception of applying a thermal compound to the cpu ?

Is the Aspire 5315 laptop a P socket motherboard or a M socket motherboard. I hope my 5315 is a P socket motherboard so my investment will be worthwhile. Is the fan sufficent to cool the T9300 cpu ?

If the motherboard is a M motherboard, what is the fastest cpu I can use ?

Any other information about upgrading the 5315 to a T9300 will be appreciated.

    Thanks
