    hello everybody,

i have an ACER Aspire 5670 laptop, which is 3 years old, with windows xp professional OS.

Recently, it started giving some or other error messages and the computer hangs most of the time.
even when i tried to shut down, the windows is shutting down page comes and then hangs off........

so, i tried to reinstall windows xp by using my SP2 cd.

it asked for formatting the c drive .
so i gave the option as NTFS formatting.
the formatting procedure went on very well.
but after during the windows installation, some files are not at all getting copied.
everytime, it is asking whether to skip the file or escape the setup.

so, i escaped from the setup and tried to reinstall again using the same SP2 cd.

but now, the computer starts and boot through the cd.
it says checking the computer hardware configuration and afterwards only a black screen i could see.

i could not use my computer anymore.

please somebody suggests me how to install windows xp again, so that i can start using my laptop.

i need it very urgently, as i have lot of work pending.

please somebody help me in this regard.

    yours
