    Hi,
I have an Aspire 1640 laptop with an internal Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG network adaptor. Since upgrading my Windows XP to Windows 7, as a clean install the wireless will not work.

    Any advise please.

    Thanks
    Dave.

    Thats very little info.
    Are you seeing any networks?
    Router setup? Security? Wep? WPA?
    wireless adapter? Intel/Atheros/ etc?
    B/G/N broadcast protocol?
    DHCP/Static ip?
First and foremost, always check on/off buttons and cords, Device manager for working status, then DHCP in network adapter properties, then broadcast SSID,
    Hard reset router and modem?
List steps you have taken, and network config. W/O that, there is little anyone can do to help.

    Hi,

I have a BT Home Hub v2. I also have three other laptops which can connect wirelessly, without any problem.
I should be able to pick up at least three local networks, but I am unable to see any.
The router is set to WPA2, but i have tried an open network as well, with SSID broadcast, and DHCP turned on..I have reset the router several times with no change.
The Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG network adaptor shows up in Device manager as working with no problems. I have also uninstalled it and re installed it, but still the same problem.

    Thanks
    Dave

Have you checked your physical radio button?
I know it seems a given, but even after 20 years in this business, I forget that button on occasion. The fact that your DM says alls well, but your not recieving any signals is odd.

When I say any signals, I mean surrounding networks. I have had problems with Win7 and no broadcast signals in which I had to turn the router broadcast SSID on, connect, then was able to turn it off with no more issues. But the fact that your are recieving no sort of frequancy points to hardware.
