    Hi all

Im looking to order my M14x R2 shortly so already considering bags, memory upgrades etc etc. One bag i quite like the look of is this one but not sure if the M14x would fit, does anyone have any ideas or could get the full measurements for the laptop compartment of the bag and an M14x to compare?

This is the bagL EVERKI 95331-GB Urbanite Messenger Bag for 14.1 inch Laptop - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

    (Sorry if links not allowed)

If you guys dont think it will fit, does anyone know of any good laptop bags that look a bit inconspicous, preferabbly messenger style, that would fit the M14x are available in the UK?

    Thanks

The Everki Urbanite looks nice. It should fit the m14x but I'd want it in a sleeve too (paranoid) so not sure if they'd combine well? A hefty price tag but lifetime warranty.

    Hey SpruceJuice

    Thanks for the reply.

I double checked with the measurements and im not so sure it will fit as the thickness of the laptop is thicker than the sleeve (3.78cm laptop and 3cm sleeve) and would also not allow use of a sleeve too.

It is a hefty price tag but then again so is the machine itself so want to look after it.

Anyone have any other ideas for bags that are available in the UK for the m14x R2?

    ** Edit **

After emailing the customer service team at Everki about whether the laptop would fit, i was told it would so went ahead and ordered it.

It fits snuggly with the little cover over it that Dell provide so im happy with it. Will let you all know how it goes after i have got around to using it on a daily basis.

    Hey,
I am starting my engineering undergrad in september and I just picked up an M14x r2. I was just wondering if the Brenthaven MetroLite BP would hold my new laptop and a few textbooks?
Amazon.com: Brenthaven MetroLite BP XF Laptop Bag: Electronics
If not does anyone have any suggestions for a bag that will hold the laptop with charger and a few textbooks?

My M14x arrived with a complimentary Belkin Radius 15.6"-compatible backpack. I haven't opened that yet, though, but I also have a complimentary Targus Pulse 15.6"-compatible backpack that came with a previous purchase.
I'll most likely take the Targus Pulse bag myself. At the moment though, I'm just reusing the RoG branded Targus bag that was included with my G73Jh.

Ive been looking for a new laptop bag as i started to struggle to fit books and my laptop in my college backpack. I was so close to buying the alienware backpack from dell for the m14x but then a friend suggested it wouldnt be the safest way to carry your laptop around in public as it basically advertises what you might or might not have in your bags =/

So i wanted a more discreet and subtle backpack to take to college that will hold my laptop and charger easily, I found this nike departure backpack and it looks like it will do the job ;)
Hasnt arrived yet but im sure it will meet my needs after reading a review of it on this site: Product Review: Nike Departure Backpack | NG NATION

I moved your post out of the main Alienware forum into the M14x sub-forum and merged it with an existing thread that fits your question. There are 16 pages available for your reading pleasure. ;)

I just use a school backpack. It's quicker to chuck stuff in and out plus fits easily. I really can't be bothered with latches and size zips. Plus it doesn't draw any attention to get mugged.

Hey guys, I'm planning on getting an Alienware 14 and wanted to look into bag options before ordering for sure or not and wanted to ask some people with previous experience. I know the Orion or any AW bag in general may not be the safest/discrete bag to buy, but I'm looking for something specifically meant to carry laptops with straps to secure it inside the bag with as opposed to a basic school backpack or something. I think I am also looking for something a little bit bigger than 14-15 inches as I have a full size mechanical keyboard (with a row of macro keys on it as well) that I would like to be able to fit into my backpack/bag along with my laptop for when I am traveling or need/want a real keyboard on the go with me. Does anyone have any recommendations for something I might be looking for aside from an Alienware bag?

I purchased this bag for mine from the UK however it seems to have gone up in price quite a lot since then

EVERKI 95331-GB Urbanite Messenger Bag for 14.1 inch Laptop - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

There also the Jowa bags on Amazon.co.uk, i recently purchased one of those for my XPS 18 (i know this would be too big for XPS 14 but i think they do smaller ones too

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0042SZXLW/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Hope that helps

I just recieved the Alienware neoprene sleeve for the 14. It is a perfect fit, very very nice, IMO. I ordered the Vindicator backpack for my 18. I was hoping to slide the 14 in the sleeve into the backpack with the 18. Just isnt enough room with the monstrous 18, nostromo n52, mouse and headphones. So I will use my military laptop backpack for now and might just order the vindicator 14 backpack. Not sure yet... I like the quality of the new vindicator stuff....

I was debating between the neoprene sleeve and the slim carrying case for the 14 since I have a Dell gift card. How tight is the zipper pocket? Can you fit in the power brick and a mouse in there and still carry it around properly? How bulky is the sleeve when filled? From your sentence though, it doesn't seem like the sleeve can really fit into a backpack and have room for a book or two.
