I have the same bag, I love it! It holds my m14x in a caselogic neoprene sleeve in the laptop slot, my m11x in its roocase in the main compartment as well as an ipad 2, iphone 4 my 3DS and digital camera and all associated chargers, cords and power bricks with room to spare. Granted it weighs about 30lbs, but I travel alot and having one bag that can hold everything plus a change of clothes is priceless. :D

Another thing, I've had the bag for almost two years and use it everyday and nothing has broken or even looks worn for that matter I highly recommend this if you are looking for a backpack style case.

I cant decide between the 2 backpacks for my M14X.

1st one is belkin, I guess it is relatively small than the Orion backpack, but if my m14x fits and gets protected nicely I would like to buy this one because it looks much simple and sleek.
Amazon.com: Belkin Core Laptop Backpack (Pitch Black/Soft Gray) fits up to 15.6-Inch laptops: Clothing

2nd one is the original Orion M14x Backpack. If the above one does not satisfy the needs of a M14X.

ALIENWARE Alienware Orion M14x Backpack - TSA Friendly : Gaming: Console | Dell

Do you guys have any suggestions on which one I should get?

Anyone seen a hardcase cover which fits over the m14x body? (Like a phone cover but easily removed when using laptop)

I have had that same backpack since around 2006 to 2008, I have hauled many different laptops in it. I work in the middle east so it is always in and out on planes. After all these years the zippers look and work fine, the only real wear on it is a little fraying on the netting where the foam is and couple of places. I think I paid around 80 plus for mine when I got it new. I would pay that much again for another one.

I have squeezed my M9750 in it a few times. I don't really recommend it as the seams looked to be stressed. But anything shorter in height when put into the bag is fine, the width of it wasn't a problem at all.

Hey Guys, Ordered my m14x few days ago and im looking for a decent neoprene sleeve for it. I was going to go for the Alienware Orion m14x sleeve but for some unknown reason Dell Australia don't stock it. Anyone have any suggestions? Would just like a simple black sleeve for it. Would be great if it was from Australia as well.

    Thanks :)

    I have the Alienware backpack

(They sent it free :D) Its a good backpack overall. I just wouldn't put your m14x in it. The bottom is thin, so dropping your laptop in the bag is like dropping it on its side. I put a towel on the bottom to dampen any hard surfaces and protect the laptop. Bit unsafe though.

Does anyone use the Booq Boa Squeeze. I really want to purchase the bag for my Alienware M14x but I'm not too sure if the laptop will fit.

    Alienware M14x: (W)13.27" (D)10.17" (H)1.49"
    Booq Boa Squeeze Max Laptop Size: 15.75 x 10.4 x 1.25"

What concerns me is the depth. But I've read around the forums that someone use the bag with their M17x so I'm kinda confused. Unless the depth doesn't matter?

I bought Samsonite Xenon Backpack and I wasnt really sure it would be a great companion to my M14x or not. After receiving it I am really happy that I took the risk. Samsonite's quality is great with a great buttom padding and protection. Also the guarantee is unquestionable.

Ugh, what a turn-off. Thanks for sharing, I had that bag on my things to buy list and now I will scratch it off.

    ---

Been looking around for sleeves and might pick up the 29.99$ Orion one from the Dell site (ebay is 40$ with shipping).

    Not sure, though.

I use these. Oakley Vertical Computer Bag 3.0 which i got on sale for $40 during the holidays.

Great laptop bag and the m14x fits perfectly. Has thick paddings all around the laptop compartment and a "shock absorber" kind of material at the bottom for added protection.

If you're looking for a bag just to primarily carry around and store your laptop plus some notebook and paperworks. I'd greatly recommend this one.

oh and it also has an RF shielding built in the bag for those who care which i can assure it works.

I've been using the Timbuk2 Outtawhack messenger (convertible to backpack) and used to carry around my M11x in it. Now that I have an M14x, it fits the bigger laptop no problem as well. Not sure if they sell it anymore though.

I bought the Zeroshock IV for Alienware m11x as the zeroshock III was a fine case for my m11x

However im also looking for a messenger bag. I'm looking for something like the Alienware Orion Messenger bag and Taipan Shadow M but available in Australia for an acceptable price (the Taipam is over $120 here). I'm willing to spend $50-80 but it needs to be available in Australia (or through eBay) and I'd prefer something that looks similar or better than these two. Any suggestions?

Ok that was too confusing - new question. is there any messenger bag that looks like the alienware Orion but doesn't advertise that it's an alienware? Regardless of price

What about this bag? STM Scout Messenger Bag 15.4" for MacBook Pro. Will it fit well?

I ended up getting the Belkin, it's pretty nice, it's my first messenger bag so it's pretty big at 15.6" and caught me by surprise, but theres enough room for the U2 so the M14x will fit in there quite comfortably with the cooler.

I decided that Targus sleeve was too big and the accessories pocket was a waste so I got this instead: Goldschlagers Carpet (13")

    Will post pictures Monday-Tuesday.

recently bought this from Best buy comes with a battery pack build in, Micro,Mini,Apple cables that tie to the charger, fits my Mx14R2 perfectly and it works really well when i go to client sites. I work in IT and I'm always running to different offices in bay area don't always have long enough to use wall chargers for my phone which I'm on contently. though its very pricey about 130.

The Belkin fits the laptop with room to spare, which is good because I have 2 sleeves on the M14 to make up the space.

the 13" crumper DOES NOT FIT. I ordered the 15" instead.

Agonizing, the 13" was off by a quarter of a CM, if anything the 15" will be a couple of cm's too big but that's ok.

Also, the workmanship of the Crumper bag is exceptional, truly, it's quite stuff and sexy on the outside and on the inside weep tears of pure orange/green/pink depending on your choice, the padding is amazing, the only bad thing is the "ears" on the big zipper make it annoying to put into bags but they fold down so it works. I reccommend the 15" to any Aussies reading this, will post pics soon, i'm keeping the 13" for the charger and ill put it ontop of the laptop, two crumper bags side by side, actually pretty excited, should be good.

I was curious about this bag too. It looks like the "sleeve" is meant to hold an xbox or a ps3. Wondering if an m14x would bounce around too much inside?

From reviews I have seen, in that same pouch for the 360/PS3 is a pouch to hold a laptop.

Astro Scout Bag Review - YouTube

Scroll to about 5:40 and he pulls a 17inch toshiba, all the cables and an Xbox out of the bag.

I've seen 2 other reviews, One with someone carrying a ton of equipment around his campus and saying it never felt heavy

And another showing every single pocket.

Now I own A40s and I would probably store them in it as well. I just want to know if anyone has had experience with a MX14 in the bag before I pull the trigger.

I don't know if this will help but this review on the forum shows an m15x fitting pretty well. I don't know the dimensions of the m15x compared to the m14x, but if they're similar, it looks like it should fit okay.

I do not have my m14x Orion yet (be here on Friday), but I have had the m17x Orion and also the m18x Orion and I love them. I wouldn't have bought it three times if I didn't believe in them. They are sturdy, I've never had any rips, tears or broken zipper. Best of all they are pefectly designed for these laptops so they fit good, and usually have just enough extra room for accessories (for me anyway).

I use a generic Targus bag that was fitted for a 17" laptop for my m14x. I used to carry my m11x in it, but it jostled around a lot due to the small size. So I threw a bunch of DVD cases and cords etc. in the pockets to erm, "pad" the case. One of my zippers is broken because I got it on clearance at Wal-Mart. That's what I get for going that way...it is a handy case though it's not that great looking.

The bag is inconvince & its not protective at all , I'd suggest getting higher ground shuttle 2.1. http://www.hggear.com/shuttle2.html :)

Able to fit m14x , mouse , PSU , DVD Drives , if you need more slot then its not recommended.

Heyy, I just ordered my own M14x (finally yay =]) & I'm now looking for a bag to put it in, and I've been looking through the pages but they all seem very large and bulky, and the ones that seemed ok were from the US ._. Now I know the actual laptop is going to be like the hulk, but being a lass I was hoping for a slightly less chunky bag suitable for girly shoulders lol which doesn't break the bank too much and is available in the UK, any ideas? =]
