    okay, ordered the 19th. showed in production about a day later and still showed i. production up untio yesterday evening when it switched to shipped. some folks got more status updates, pripr to shipped.

    Wow, grats spartan! I am sitting patiently, spamming F5, hoping that you have uploaded some pictures and your thoughts about the product hehe.

    Joe, I also ordered an m11x last year and I remember waiting over a month aswell for that one :( Because of the hinge issue on the m11x r1 I was so lucky to get a full refund 3 weeks ago. Since Dell offered such a great service to me and I in particular really like their products (especially the alienware assortment) i decided to order the m14x aswell

    I remember Daniel, It was torture remember the Prodution hell thread we were all stuck in, I remember having an edd of 4 20 I think then Boom I got it on 3/3 it was wild! Anyway since mine is a replacement I have next day ship but I still have no edd,But then again those dell edd's are useless! Good luck to everyone, I hope we get them soon and it seems people are already getting shipped within a week! That's awesome!

    Hey, I ordered one on the 21st and its in production. I got billed the same day so they took the money out, the thing is when I checked my account again today I noticed all my money was back in the account lol. I saw someone post the same thing and I wanted to know if he solved this issue. The order has not been canceled because I called them and the guy said its getting ready to be shipped.

    Joe, My EDD is the 23 May. I sure hope that it will be sent earlier because I think ive used up all my patience while waiting for the m11x hehe.

    Jasilv, what payment method did you use? I used Master Card and "unfortunetately" I havent got my money back :p

    just got confirmation that the delivered it to my apartment. even got th lady at my apartment office to put package in my place. so come 10 tonight i will have it. already excited, so it will be a long ten hours of work now

    Spartan, you are one lucky guy :)

    What do you think about the overall quality?

    What concerns me the most is the build quality of the hinges, have alienware learned anything from the previous m11x and m15.

    Also, what is your impression of the ventilation fan? of what ive read in the early reviews there was an issue with the fan kicking off quite loudly, even when the machine was in idle. Alienware promised that it vould be fixed by upgrading the firmware.

    Well this is my first Alienware, the build quality is great but I'm upgrading from a crappy plastic HP. The hinges seem sturdy, but we need the opinion of someone who has had the hinge problem before to be certain.

    I'll post some shots of the m14x compared to my 13inch and 17inch hp later on

    Spartan, that sounds great.

    I know this isnt a big issue, but ive also read that it might get rather hot the spot where you rest your hand since the HDD should be positioned beneath. is that anything that you have noticed?

    Well I haven't tested any games yet, but when I had a film on the right hand side would get warm, not uncomfortable at all. The left side is very very cool!

    Will the M14x support the Sata III 6Gb/s Interface? Want to install the new Vertex 3 120GB if possible...

    I ordered @ 11am on the 19th and I'm not even in Delivery Prep. I'm still at "Finalizing Production." However, another page tells me that it's "ship complete." Whatever that means.. :-/

    No keyboard flex on mine when typing, only flex if u press very hard, much harder than if u were typing normally.

    I'm so happy about the UK keyboard layout (big return key). But I'm annoyed at the arrow keys, why such a long right-shift? And not make the arrow keys larger like on most laptops? I don't get it.

    There doesn't seem to be any screen flex, with the hinges we need someone who has had the m11x to comment, but they do feel strong.
