disable cat ai instead. It does the same thing as disabling crossfire but you can profile for it instead of enabling & disabling cf anytime you want to play. aside from this, I gave up a long time ago on ca and sega, it was their patch that caused the problem in the first place and I don't expect them to ever fix it at this point.

    thanx!

turning the mipmapping up made the benchmark worst :p

but overall i got the same result as before (bad compared to others), around 900 (Passmark PerformenceTest 7.0). anyone here tried the 3D graphics test to confirm?

I am sure that I have the latest Dell Drivers with latest VBios and i installed CCC 10.10 (just the control center) if Dell provided a specific CCC than i would have downloaded it but they dont, so i dont think it matters?

anyways i will download the 3dMark and the vantage thingy and will see wither i get bad results as well.

i've tried a couple of times waking from sleep. i think 10.11 is a bit glitchy when it comes to sleep wakeup. the second i try, no BSOD right after wake up, left the pc there idle for 15min then suddenly BSOD and restart by itself. third time pc woke up fine, but gives me OSD error..wierd.. im really sure i have a clean driver installation, and this has not happened before in 10.10. is there anyone else experiecing this issue?

Just installed 10.11 from 10.10. Upped my 3D Mark 06 by 400 points, upped Vantage by about 200 points. FPS in BFBC2 is about the same though a bit smoother.

Haven't tried MoH: Tier 1 or CoD: Black Ops yet. Will report when I do.

10.11 is not glitchy when it comes to sleep, at least for me.

I try two senarios immediately after a reboot: as soon as i get my login screen asking for my password, i close the lid. the computer goes to sleep. lift the lid up: login screen comes back (after a 1 second delay displaying a worrisome blank but lit screen)

secondly, i type my password and login, then i close the lid again and do the same thing. I get the same result. No bsod's, no crashes, no errors.

    my clean procedure:

1 uninstall ATI from add/remove programs

2 custom uninstall all ATI software EXCEPT for the hdmi driver (which ati by default does not provide)

3 uninstall from device manager both graphics cards (clicking the check box for uninstall the drivers for this device)

4 run ccleaner (both the cleaner and the registry cleaner. run the registry cleaner over and over again until no errors are found)

5 run driversweeper (google it) click the check box for ati - display and then click clean

    6 reboot

    7 install your new drivers

I stopped using driver sweeper. I just uninstall both cards (deleting drivers) from the device manager, then uninstall CCC Manager. Restart in safe mode, CC Cleaner, restart again, then install new drivers. Smooth as butter with no issues :)

*sigh* I still have the same issue with BFBC2. The game hasn't worked right since 10.5a. There is some weird issue with 2nd GPU utilization and it will only play smoothly in DX9 mode. There are people with laptops and desktops with both 4xxx and 5xxx crossfire setups that experience this, though it's just a small percentage of people, so what does ATI do? Pretend the problem doesn't exist! I have made threads on the ATI board before, and they simply delete them.

I just played MoHL Tier 1 MP and SP. Results: SP seems the same. MP is WAY better. Smoother game play, higher FPS.

CoD Black Ops MP and SP. Results: SP seems better, smoother. MP is Awesome. No Lag, smooth game play, HIGH FPS. I play both modes with everything maxed out including 16x AA and Extra corpses.

10.11 gets my vote for the best driver yet!

not that i could find. i searched the forum pretty thoroughly too. The main problem is that since im a mobility user, ATI mods automatically go "vendor problem" and wont even try to help.

Am i? LOL - says below that they are for mobility also afaik....

Is there any difference between the drivers on my link and those here:
    ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver

Ahhh, i see....i need the MOBILITY version......d'oh! - i read the release notes on my link and thought they were suitable - quite misleading info....

OK, so do i need both files? the 1.1mb and the 90+mb files under the above link?

Whilst im getting set to do this, another question is:

If i express uninstall via control panel/installation manager/remove all components, does this get me back to Standard VGA drivers or do i NEED to get back to VGA drivers before installing 10.11?

(I ask as im pretty sure that when i last did that, i couldnt get back to VGA, im on 8.763 atm and factory installed were 8.692 - did the vbios also - when i have express uninstalled in the past, it takes me back to 8.692 - display drivers in device manager confirm this. Obviously, with this, if i reboot, im gonna get the sleep/bsod issues)

I'm having exactly the same issue.

Would be more user friendly to download the 10-11_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe file itself rather than an installer package that just triggers another download anyway.

Anyone able to upload the actual driver somewhere?

The 1.1 mb file is an ati downloader. Which doesnt work for me, keeps cancelling download. Installed these drivers to help fix CTD but they didnt. Yes, I have deleted the bc2 files already, like 10 times.
My frames are killer though until it crashes.
I just noticed the crash is not at map load anymore, its usually when im trying to shoot someone in the middle of the game.
Going to monitor my GPU temps tonight...

Finally managed to get these AMD 10.11's installed....

I went control panle/uninstall/ati install mananger....selected & uninstalled via that.

As soon as i did that, BSOD.....

Restarted in safe mode, device manager showing 8.692 installed....

Removed ALL Ati CCC stuff, uninstalled drivers manually via device manager, restart and run ccleaner registry feature.

At this point, device manager showed no display adaptors....

Installed the already previously d/l file from AMD (mobility 10.11) and installed that as , like many, the other option did not work.

Seems to be ok....no sleep issues or anything else yet but havent done any testing in games....

This was such a PITA. Hope ive done it right LOL - both cards in gpu-z show same driver and the hardware has changed to 5800 series....

    Where are the CAP profiles???

You don't see app profiles installed anywhere expect in program/install (and the app profile file itself [atiapfxx.blb], somewhere^^). If you installed them, well, they're installed and will be used.

Since i never experienced CTD in BFBC2, you might want to clean out ALL Visual C++ Redistributables and get the latest one, 2010.

This is what i did - downloaded both but as the 1.1mb file didnt want to work, i just ran the 92.3mb file as admin and it seems to have done the trick.

I have tested for Alexnvidia's problem with regards to sleep etc - can report that i have no probs putting to sleep and resuming from sleep on both battery and a/c - have tried several times and no problems at all.

If it's not included in the AMD Version, install Dell's HDMI Driver from 8.763 or get the Desktop Driver from AMD and install only HDMI/Audio driver via installer.

PS: If sleep does not work and you are sure you have the latest VBIOS 012. 020.000.027. 037640, then make sure you don't have RAM Voltage set to 1.7 in BIOS as it doesn't like that with Sleep/Hibernate. Best, keep your settings in BIOS as much default as you can.

Well i was assuming since you don't even know what the influence is having newer HDMI audio driver and you are not experiencing conflicts with playing things on HDMI, i would say, leave it! Don't you think Stevie? o_O

And with 1100+ posts titling yourself still a newbie, that's harsh... and sad :D

Write me a pm if you have such newbie questions, don't want to fill something silly like this going on and on on a thread, but up to you.

I have no issues. High as hell frames here with everything max and 16x AA. Try app profiles, or worse case, just re-install the driver.

Check, and check. Even in SP my average seems a bit low... 40-50ish, with only 2x aa.
