Edit NVM I see its Nvidia.

MrMM depends. IE 850 seems fine for DX10.x benches but for heavy DX11 clocks need to go down about 20Mhz.

But look at the front page scores are not that much ahead max OC versus max OC. Only thing I don't like is lack of physx but I'm trying to deal with it. It would have cost at least 300 more. It may be moot when physx 3.0 comes out the only reason software mode sucks now is because thats the way Nvidia designed it.

Its a slightly better panel as well but then we would have been talking about a $450 difference ;) If I wanted to spend more probably would have went m18x. As it is I spent about $2700 (with SSD, memory, etc) on a $1500 budget!

yeah but games running at over 100 look different on the 120hz display compared to a 60. its awesome :)

    eg dragon age looks immense

Well I got around 25%, and CPU frequency will have little impact in most games even if it is 50%.

    I'd take a 10% GPU overclock over a 50% CPU overclock.

Well actually most GTX560ti cards are sold at higher than "stock" speeds, so the GPUs are underclocked at stock really. They are just scraping more yields.

Then you take into account that once overvolted and overclocked, even at a lower voltage the 580M is going to be sucking one hell of a lot of power....

It just comes down to chip design and transistor choices etc.

I think that its a fact that most Nvidia Cards clock really well.Better than Amd ones...But on the 6990 model its really cool that a 200 Euro cheaper card performs better.Great Value for money

The 6990M can't overvolt at all. Anything higher can 1.1v would either cause a BSOD or will just clock back to 1.1v.

That CPU score is awful but I guess it is an i3 however, the highlight is that 560m GPU score. Almost 10k, nice!

Tips for 3dm11 on ATI? I get like 3500 at stock and barely close to 4000 full out. It has to be some kind of driver setting. Just changed everything to "use application settings."

Going to wait for Monday when I'm in a cold room to post the next scores. Hopefully can IC diamond by then as well :)

Pretty good difference with IC diamond. I just got out of a game and in the 10 seconds it took to check GPU-Z it already dropped to 56C. Will see in an hour or so if it gives me any more.

Nice overclock, it's been a while since I've seen a Clevo card managing such clocks... You should be able to push the card slightly more during vantage, do have a vantage run at 900MHz? I'd love to see it :)

Edit: Lol, it was your card which I had in mind... seen your posts in the sager/clevo section a while ago... what about a 900MHz vantage run? :D

Just ran 3DMark11 and Vantage again after installing 8 GB of Hyperx 1600 RAM and a 128 GB M4 SSD with a clean install. My 3dMark11 score went up about 120 points to 3514, and Vantage was 14148.
