Hmm. I am on 10.7 and it works fine as far as I can tell. I have a 4870 though, so maybe this is a compatibility problem with 5870 cards.

I can confirm that the ATI TrayTool crashes / BSOD on the HD5870, i have the new vbios and the latest catalyst driver 10.8, is it the same issue with the old vbios? Have read a bit about this sweet tool, but now i can't use it, well might not work at all on HD5870, don't know. Pitty :D

Hmm well i have crossfire too, let me try the tool with CrossFire disabled.

Edit: nope, does not like the single gpu only either, results in a standard BSOD, concerning driver updates or new devices installed. :D

ATi Tray tools is outdated. RadeonPro is a much better choice.

Radeonpro actually corrupted my default profiles and caused me to have to reinstall the drivers from scratch on one occasion.
Other than that, really good bit of software!

I installed these correctly. following install notes for previous version drivers (editing cfg file, driver sweeper, etc)

and as per ing usual...surprise surprise, it doesnt work.

"No ATI card detected" loads windows using default drivers.

    mines an m17x r2 with dual 4870.

Any ideas? I rolled back to 10.4's coz the performance of the 10.7's was crap. i get this weird flickering in NFS shift, using crossfire and worse fps in most games.

if I use the newest crossfire profiles, however, with the 10.4's everything is sweet.

depressing, and annoying. ATI's drivers are absolute rubbish
