    Indeed it does ;)

If the Currency Conversion wasn't as bad as it is atm i would give you 10 USD, cause i really want to get setfsb working for the 720qm.

    But keep us posted!

I've got like 12$ Canadian funds left over in my paypal account from an online purchase. I'll chip in 10 bucks if you need it.

For those without a i7-920XM there is a good chance a program like setfsb won't do much for you. Without the ability to control your turbo boost multipliers you'll probably end up with a system that just runs hotter and less stable. I wouldn't expect too much. For 920 owners we'll have to see if the bios limits will still hold us back.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted recently but this week has been hell. Today I went to the bank to wire the money to the company, hopefully it will not take long to get to them. The total money was 40+25, I think the 25 was either an international fee, or some kind of express service, I emailed the guy, and hopefully he will reply soon. I think I will be back to posting tomorrow, seeing as i have a student evaluation and another assignment due for that stupid professor, wish me luck ;) . And lets hope i get the datasheet today or tomorrow.

If we turn off turbo mode in the BIOS adjusting the bclk should work fine for non extreme CPU's shouldn't it?

Hey guys, i got the data sheet from the guy and sent it to abo, he said that he cannot support it because of a PLL specification problem. Unless the guy gave me a different datasheet, i don't think its possible.

I sent him another email, asking him if there was a different datasheet, with different a different PLL and this what he replied, "Hello Khalid,

There is only one version of SLG8SP585V. If you are looking for different PLL function or frequency, it will be a different Silego product.

Also I'm sending you updated revision of datasheet for SLG8SP585V. Please see attachment.

    Regards,

    Olya Romaniv
" The funny thing is, he offered the same datasheet to Moo for 30 dollars.

Weird. Let's hope this one contains the data that's needed to adapt SetFSB to work with the M17x-R2.

same reply from abo, "Hi Khalid-san,

Hmm..., SLG8SP585V doesn't have the function that changes FSB.
To my regret, I can not support it.

    abo"

I dont think it will be possible, unless i got the wrong clock generator from Moo, which i doubt.

It's pretty weird since the BIOS can adjust the BCLK on the 920XM.

I really wanted to get more performance out of this system, seeing as it is an i7 920XM with unlocked multipliers, they should at least give us that.

I could of easily read it wrong, mine was very warn down

The BCLK CAN be changed ...either setFSB need to try again or some one needs to write some code to manually go into the sm_bus and change it ...(still not 100% sure how the i7 works because of the cpu taking the load .. im noobish).

SetFSB works with the x58 chipset and can overclock i7 so i know it can

I am about to flash my bios so I don't have to reset my clock speeds for my GPU everytime!

600 and 1050 are considered safe for the long haul, yes?

Those clocks are considered pretty safe, you can go higher if you want to when flashing the cards.

I do not recommend that program, just stick to what the rest of us are using, which it RBE, I believe ;)

Speaking of that, I followed all the steps up until booting from the USB Drive and it said invalid disk, please insert and push any key to continue, something to that effect, had no clue where to go from there.

Before you open the AMD GPU clock tool do you have furmark running on 640x480 window? Only then it will recognize both cards and you are able to set the values.
