M17x (**Europe**) Order Status Discussion

Sounds like 04/09 is backstop delivery date then, probably to take into account screen shortages. If it comes by then I'll be happy.

It's just fustrating that they transfer it immediately into 'production' status once the order is confirmed. I think I'd rather know the truth - i.e. waiting for parts. I doubt it really takes them 10 days to build!

 

Hey guys - sorry to bug you all, just have a question. My alienware got shipped today, via DHL to the UK, and they gave us a long order number to track it with, but entering it on the DHL site it can't find it? Am I entering it in the wrong place, or trying to track it too soon or something? (It got shipped at 3:30 pm today). Thanks for all your help!

I can't speak for everyone - but I skipped all the stages after production and went straight to shipping. But I was stuck in phase 4 for almost a week, so. But I believe, after production it's quite normal to skip some stages. But then on the other hand, you could be unlucky and take at least a day to go through them all - it seems quite hit or miss.

 

When I call alienware canada to check my status, the automated machine tells me that my system has been shipped in october....1999. lol and yes, I've punched in the correct order number.

Anyone else had this problem?

Phase 1-3 on following Monday
Sent out to ups 17/9

I had an email from [email protected] and it says my planned delivery date is the 23/09. I havent had a phone call to confirm delivery and the ups site just shows "billing information received" "Shipped/billed on 21/09/09". After you guys got this email did it arrive on the planned date? Just dont want to end up sitting in all day on wednesday for nothing.

 

I don't think you're gonna get it on Wednesday.

The 'Billing information received' means that the M17x has left the factory - in China. UPS won't show anything else until it arrives in The Netherlands - which normally takes around 4 to 5 days. From NL it's normally two days to get to a UK address. I'd say you're likely to get it delivered on the 28th.

 

Its been in that status since the 17/09

 

im the same mate, the date it says for shipping billing is the expected day that the laptop will arrive in the netherlands, mines for today, called my rep and he said that it will be on its way to me within 48hours from that date.

 

Seems we are all in the same boat, ordered 15th finished building on 16th (expidited system) billing info received 21st

been showing that for more than the 4 buisness days it says on dells order page.

just wondering if the other system that was cancled will turn up tomorrow, that one was ordered the same day as yours Marine uk.

im bored of surfing think i have found all the info i can on the M17x want the sytem in my hands now

 

Still no change today, i am really not the patient type did you get that other system photoscubaman?

havent opened box yet, not sure to use it until other arrives?

 

as for the waiting think our systems missed the flight and will be on the next from china. not sure how many a week there are. spoke to sujay yesterday and he said wait another 4 days!

 

no change for me again today, been 8 days since it went into the ups pickup stage 6 business days and 2 non due to weekend

 

wait and see if dell realise they sent you extra Hopefully get news soon, i am back to sea 17 oct so need it before then!

 

if it didnt come before that date id be pretty annoyed

 

looking at the last email from sujay he says it should be with UPS Monday! so fingers crossed!

 

just checked ups now says in holland scheduled delivery 25/09 yipeee!!!

I spoke to UPS and they said that Dell pays for the Cheapest service they do!

spoke to ups and they dont know why it is still in brussels they said i should get tomorrow but i doubt it. You guys still have an expected date on the tracking site?

 

my expected date is next monday, but i never put much stock in the ups expected delivery times, it'll be in brussels until 8pm thats when the next plane ships out, judging from previous orders anyway, you should get it early next morning.

 

I live near glasgow so will most likely be on monday, cant see them getting it up to glasgow from down south in that space of time but here is hopein!!

 

maybe they fly the Scotish deliveries in to scotland rather than transprt lengh of England first?

 

Hope so, really annoying though all ups say if the status dosent change within a week they will look into it.

I have had the other M17x here boxed since yesterday. Any idea how hard its been to not use it!!!!

Re arranged work tomorrow so i can be here to receive, really excited.

On a Comedy note the laptop repair people dell used phoned today to say they are very sorry but the 8800gtx cards for my m1730 are still not available and they suggest that i speak to dell and escalate the issue!!

I did not re order the Laptop is a replacement for my broken M1730, The one that arrived was the system i excepted from Sujay after a long battle over the CPU it has the 2.8ghz core duo.
I was told repeatedly that the qx9300 wasnt an option I had the X9000 in my m1730. The very same day he authorised a system for Marine enginerring UK.

With evidence that it was possible to have the Qx9300 Sujay finally agrred to let me have that and cancled the first order.

The cancled order arrived yesterday!

 

ah, i see what happened now, would be nice if they didnt realise the mistake though

 

No Im honnest, I have not deceived Dell and although they can be a pain in the A#$! I have let them know.

I have been looking back through my past laptops and incredably i have now had 7 might even be 8.

I can only remeber paying for 2? so they have treated me more than fairly.

or you could say ive had alot of faulty laptops!

 

that's quite the number of laptops, this m17x will be my first laptop not shared with my family, I enjoy my gaming so as it turns out ill be taking the best I can find

 

well ups have just said it is deffo gonna be here tomorrow, they said its just the tracking system is slow. I smell a bit of bull there but you never know.

 

cant see how it wouldn't be where mine and photo's laptops are, they appear to be on the same shipment until they split within England at their respected split off points. just couldn't see how yours got left behind when ours were in England and all.

 

i just tend to be unlucky when it comes to courier's, will still sit in and wait tomorrow just incase but with a few beers just so its not a wasted day if it dosent turn up
