M17x Order Status Discussion - Part 4

It is now showing as being due the 10th!

I can handle waiting, but what frustrates me is when they keep changing the due date, but the tracking status doesn't get updated at all - it makes planning to be around to receive it very difficult as I live alone so no one else could be here. It still shows no information at all other than a date and so it could change yet again.

I've never experienced this with any other online purchase. Appreciate your reply

 

Don't worry it will come, if you get a failed delivery attempt you can just pick it up from the local depot. THey just have to attempt 1 delivery before you can go pick it up.

The wait is bad, but it will come, give it time! I had to wait just under a month for my new machine, the outlet machines are usually faster, but they do get tested from what I know anyways.

 

Order was 5/5 trough cotsco, where i can track my order status, btw the $1699 configuration that i bought don't exist anymore y their website

 

Ordered on the 29/04/13 estimated delivery date 07/06/13 ? dell rep said there waiting on parts.
I'm thinking of cancelling and waiting for m17 r5 seen as tho E3 is next month

 

Ughhhhh. I have never been so frustrated in my life! I ordered my M17x on 4/22 with an EDD of 5/14. 2 days before the original EDD I got an email saying my order had been delayed to 5/20. Well than yesterday(5/16) the order still said it was in production so I decided to call. The agent I talked to told me the laptop had shipped and I would still get it on or before the 20th. I thought finally, some good news! Well this morning I check my email to find yet another delay to the 27th! So I call them again, and talked to 2 different people. One person told me the order has been shipped and I would receive it well before the 27th. I decided I would talk to another person and this one told me the order was completed, but had not yet been shipped and would likely not be shipped until Monday. I than ask to speak to a supervisor and all the supervisor could tell me that he did not know if it had shipped or not but that the order was in fact completed. So who really knows where my computer is. All I know is I am SO frustrated at this point. I don't mind the wait,, I just wish I knew WHEN I would be receiving my laptop and quit being jerked around.

 

I have no idea why everyone is experiencing such long delays for M17x's. I ordered my M17x from Costco with 3630QM and 680m on 4/28 and they told me they'd ship it out on 5/17 and deliver on 5/22. I called Costco and they informed me that Dell has delayed yet again to 5/30.

Should I just cancel and wait a few weeks for M17x R5? I was satisfied with the $1699 680m deal from Costco that I didn't care about Haswell and GPU refresh around the corner, but right now I'm a little upset about the delays. It's just a little disheartening to see Dell make customers wait and wait for a product that's soon to be an old model.

 

I received mine on the 22nd, but I was definitely considering canceling and waiting for the R5. Couldn't be happier with my R4 though it was just a little frustrating waiting so long.

3740QM
16 GB RAM
1 TB hard drive(no SSD but I should be adding one soon hopefully)
GTX 680M

Order placed on 22/05/13
Order moved to shipped 29/05/13
With luck i will have it by 07/06/13, but dell site says it will be deliver on 14/06/13 ( God Hate Dell tracking system, it never shows true info)

Honestly I would recommend anyone looking tor an M17x to just wait a week.
