Co-Processor might be the rest of your Nvidia Chipset. Try installing the drivers manually through device manager and point it to look in the folder where your Nvidia Drivers are saved.
-
I'm thinking the answer is you need to switch it to the 260/280 after a fresh install.
-
-
OK I uninstalled what I had, downloaded the 280 driver from dell's website and boom 280s work w/SLI. Coprocessor? is still there but I now doubt it's video related. Running 3dmark06 now.
-
-
so Mandrake, you have the Dell Win7 drivers working? Can you post a link to the ones you used? Thanks man!

Here
10 char -
nVidia MCP79 Chipset drivers -
-
@Phinagle: Not from their website. I can try it after this run of 3dmark.
Edit:3dmark crashed again. -
10 char. -
-
Edit: coprocessor still shows up in device manager. I'm going to need to install the original disk to see what it is. -
Is co-processor still unidentified in the device manager?
Also are you running these under Win 7 or Vista? -
Edit: Now the whole system locked up running 3dmark. I'm starting to think Windows 7 is a bad idea for now. -
The drivers on Dell's site are only listed up to Vista 64-bit.
What version of drivers did you get from nVidia's site?
Edit: 186.03 are the latest mobile drivers. -
186.03. Time to try the newer one?
-
Try everything that's reasonably safe.
Addendum: ...until you get sick of it and want to just enjoy your machine. -
From the problems you guys are going through. Wouldn't it just be better to stay with vista 64 bit and grab SP2?
-
-
Wait so you can reinstall the drivers fine on Vista? I though Vandit was saying that he couldn't get the drivers back on Vista after he tried Win 7.
-
Its weird that the link for the drivers above were from Dell support. When I went to support, select notebook, then drivers ect it took me from dell to alienware site with software updates...
I know same company but didnt compare revision numbers when i was at home.. -
The new drivers give the same error trying to install it. The error states could not locate any drivers that are compatible. -
One person said vista with SP2 is basicly the same as windows 7...True? false? Me dumb?
-
edit: I'm now going to try to find out what "co-processor" is. -
-
-
-
Plus better memory, faster processing, etc.
It's still Vista, but it's what Vista should have been from the get-go. -
-
so Mandrake- what is the word on Win7? Go or No? Did u get it stable? I am going home in a few hours. Need to know if I have to install Vista over Win7
-
-
So for those of you that had problems with the volume up and down touch panel when receiving the m17x and now are on windows 7, are the problems still there?
I am just trying to confirm if it is hardware or software related. -
-
-
Well when you go back to Vista from 7 check your device manager to figure out what co-processor is.
-
-
-
Did you have problems with them before upgrading the operating system? -
-
Hrm... It just worries me.. I would like to see if it is indeed the software messing up and the panel is detecting my finger pushes or if the panel itself is bad..
Any way to test those two buttons? I dont know how to confirm if it is hardware or software related. -
-
I have a curious question... why has noone used the modded INF file from LV2Go?
additionally, dox's drivers?
am I missing something? or are all of you missing something?
go here -> http://www.laptopvideo2go.com -
-
and DOX's are based on the same INF structure, but with optimizations. -
-
the file I d/ off of lV2go website was VistaWin7x64_185.85. No workie
