Nice one thanks. He has two listings - 1 for £109 and another identical one at £199 :S

Also how hard is it to replace the screen or is it literally a few screws and a wire?

Your easiest way is to replace the entire lid assembly. You can find some on Ebay (Dell would charge you 2x).
If you want to replace the LCD screen only, you'll have to find a way to remove it from the lid, 2 aluminum pieces have to be cut/broken  .
I'll look for the post where Witcher explains how he did it...

Unless you're going to tear apart the lid - Ebay is the only option.

Well, the $700-$1000 is not an option. So I may atempt to tear it apart if I end up keeping this lappy. So any pics for that? What piece comes of first to start? The top slot piece or the back panel that is not part of the big panel piece? And do you just pry bc there are no screws on the outside. Thanks...again.

I would PM witcher since he is an expert on doing that and he probably could assist you with the dismantle.

Maybe I'm not getting it. But that piece on the lid when the lid is closed that is a different color than the rest-yes-that one. How do you get it off? It will not 'pop' off. It seems to have screws holding it and I can't find where to remove them. Seems you have to go from the panel side and remove them but how? I'm stuck for now on this one. Any help????
