    That looks really good, shame the machine doesnt come in a midnight blue. Those pics are much better than the official Dell ones, a lot less tacky looking.

    Shame you dont have ATI inside, but then they'd have to do a dark dark green for NV owners! :D

    Definitely a lot less tacky then the DELL pics. if I would have seen these pics before I re-ordered, I would have definitely gone with red.

    Yes it does. Looks so good in fact that I just got off with my rep. After reminding him that my system has been in pre-production limbo for the almost 3 weeks, he was willing to give me the nebula red at no extra charge. Only downside is id have to cancel my order and re do it again.

    Seriously! Thats exactly my thought process. I think im going to go for it. Those red pics are sweet! Not to mention the fact that dell is now offering 18 months no interest for DPA users. Better then the 12 mos no interest I have with this order.

    I have just received my Red too. Sorry for not posting any pics yet because Im so busy with mid term exam. I have to say this color is the best color Ive seen on laptop. Its like a Ferrari! I used to think I will never end up with any red electronic stuff but Nebula Red changed my view totally!

    A while back Consumer Reports put a report saying if any electronic device came in different colors then it was crap. The company cared more about aesthetics than the hardware itself. lol!

    You can't go wrong with m17x Nebula Red. Its a win win situation. For 1) its a special color, and 2) I don't ever have to hear my wife ask me " Why is that laptop so humongus and ugly ". :) I Love my Nebula Red, and the AW Red Lighting FX compliments it 10 times.....


    Note: Not to mention the ATis CrossFireX 4870s are Red too. ;)

    Alienware 15X
    i7 920
    8GB Dual DDR3 at 1066Mhz

    But was thinking I could get by with the following:
    i7 820
    6GB Dual DDR3 at 1066Mhz.

    I am not a big at gaming but do a lot of retouching photos.

    It looks superb in every light conditions :) and I'm still enjoying it and will be untill it can handle all games in max settings.
    For me the choice of colour was simple:
    - Black= Boring
    - Silver = Better but...
    - RED = this is It, exeptional and sexy

    In UK it was free to upgrade to Nebula RED, although total price for the system was 30% more expensive than in US :(

    Silver is the same. Fingerprints don't show up as much. If anything Silver can handle scratches better than red and black.

    Silver doesn't look that good to me, at least not the kind on the laptop. If it was a pure color, like the soild ones at colorware(hows that going btw), then I would rethink it.

    Red/black or black/black. There aren't too many red laptops out there, wouldnt hurt to bring up its numbers :rolleyes:

    Bigelvis, im about to purchase my very own m17x here soon :D and i was debating hardcore the red option. I want to ask for your opinion since youve had it for this long. Do you have any regrets on not getting the more neutral color black or even silver? Has the red become a little ostentatious or an eye sore? Let me know thanx :)
